Relationship between Measurement Time and Temperature Resolution

Because DTS measures infinitesimal Raman back scattering light to get temperature distribution, data averaging process of repeated measurements is needed, For example, it is necessary to take 1,000 measurements to eliminate random noise from raw measured data.
Accordingly, the temperature resolution, which is the averaged results by means of RMS, is inversely proportional to the square root of the measurement time, within a certain range.
The graph is an example of temperature resolution and measurement time.
